Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished psychologist since 1993. She is also the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with a wide range of publications and many awards to her credit and is the recipient of numerous national and global awards. She has provided consulting on research and policy to many agencies and departments across the world. She currently serves as advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
